Conference Center-Venue

The Conference venue located within the municipality of Egaleo. The City of Egaleo is one of the oldest and most populated municipalities of Athens. Egaleo city is located on the west side of the greater Athens area with a population of about 64,828 inhabitants according to the census of 2021-2022. Essentially, the municipality of Egaleo was created during the decade 1922-1932 when it was inhabited by Greek refugees after the Asia Minor disaster.

The Conference Center belongs to the University of West Attica (UNIWA) and covers 25,000m2 of about 100,000m2 of the ancient Athens’ olive grove known as Eleonas and famous for Platon’s Academy.

The Conference Center was built in 2011 and includes the amphitheater-lecture theater which seats about 450 people, three lecture rooms, which seat about 100 people, each one and the foyer which is about 300m2.

The lecture theater is bright new and has all the appropriate and necessary equipment for the Conference. The amphitheater-lecture theater is located on the first floor and the three lecture rooms on the ground floor. All of the three lecture rooms have the necessary electromechanical equipment, air conditioning systems and audiovisual services.
